Assignments in Photosharing

Two Assignments I Will Use In My Class with Photo Sharing
October 15,2010
My first assignment, I would introduce to my class, using photo sharing, would be an assignment introducing a region in the world to research. I will chose China and will ask the class to find pics on Picasa Web to represent China. We will discuss photos and places in China and learn more about their architecture and way of life. Our class will see the easy access photo sharing is and how fun.
My second assignment, I would chose images for my class, for a creative writing project. I will chose our project to be creating a map of an important event in our life. Each student will remember a time in their life that an event made a difference, and changed their life. Photo sharing will be used to collect images that would help tell the story of their event. The class will share their map and story with the creative images that will tell the story for them.

Social Networking With Twitter

There are many social networking sites and I chose to discuss the social network site, Twitter.  It is a real time information network by people, for people, around the world, for all to know whats happening right now. Connects businesses to other businesses and to greater customer relations. It shares quick information with more personal connection. It contains evolutionary phone messaging that introduces a new public dimension. It can be used on all types of devices and web services. This open information can have a global impact, making the world a more obtainable place. It articulates a list of users who share a connection with a constructed profile with a bounded system that is viewed and traversed with other users. Many connections can be made that otherwise may never had been.
Twitter was created on March 21, 2006 and started with 1.25 million users and now has 165 million. It's popularity soars because of social networking and micro-blogging.  It is King in targeting a well-defined audience. It is going strong and getting stronger every day.  Twitter was designed to target every audience, period.
Facebook is a more popular competitor, having more users as members, but doesn't offer the full power design, for real time access, for a well-defined audience, like Twitter. Facebook limits who sees what message, while Twitter opens it to all.
I would consider using Twitter, and after reading about it, I know that I will try it soon. I would be able to follow the latest fashions to global news, to viewing promoted events and streaming my electronic in-boxes. It could add value to my working life with additional marketing and enabled communication. I could keep up with events happening in celebrities life, to my friends life, to many lives. My favorite reason to join Twitter would be to globally communicate my concerns and get the feedback from those all over the world.

Haragadon 2.0 and Points to Consider

Steve Haragon 2.0 is on social networking and he mentions six points to consider learned from social networking. Networking is the joining of people that open doors to knowing more connections, to help with jobs, or meeting friends or mates, or even to discuss information on a wider scale. I chose to discuss from Steve's points, real moderating or guiding your network and how focus is important to having a good conversation.
Real moderating and guiding your network is having polite manners to help everyone feel comfortable and enjoy the network. It is important that all the new comers, to the site, feel at comfort with it and feel that the site is worth coming back to.   It is important to communicate appropriately and share with each contribution the importance of what they have taught to the site. It is important to let all users understand their input was appreciated and to tell them what you have learned. Sharing is caring! Networking allows you to see the connections that are usually hidden, making all connections visible. It is hard to know what connections of networks will succeed and which will not. There are so many important things to consider in networking. It is important to set boundaries so that everyone knows the extent of what content and what kind of content to add and understand clearly all that the site entails. Boundaries will help establish a good foundation to build the information upon. I feel guiding your network is for the benefit to all who try networking. Manners are everything and being considerate is essential to all communication.  Setting boundaries and guiding your network brings, facilitation and encourages, helps, supports and brings help to problems. I can't imagine how these great points would not be helpful for any type of networking.

Wiki Used In My Classroom

On the first day of class, my students will create a wiki introducing themselves in a more technical way.  They will have a lecture of knowledge, teaching them to use a wiki, then they will visit my Introduction Wiki, for an example. They will see, I have introduced not only a little about me, but my desires, passions, dreams, missions, inspirations and more. We will all create and veiw each others and communicate how we share commoness with each other. This is a wonderful way to connect in a more interpersonal way.
We then will go to our class wiki that where assignments and notes have already been started, and after reading chapter one in our book, all of us will add important notes we each unerstood. We will continue to have all edit notes from readings on wiki as we create our own test at the end of the chapter. Working together learning as we teach.

Wikis.......Absolutely!
The most amazing thing happened for me today, after watching Richard Buckland, I finally understood the valuable technology of a Wiki. I am so excited about my future using wikis, and can’t even imagine, where this technology will take us. I will be using wiki in my future teaching career and have some good idea’s now, of where to start.
Richard discussed how magical of a source a wiki can be, and I will take his good advice. Wikis can do so many things. One of the first things I learned about a wiki, it’s not a discussion board for your opinion’s, it’s a information recorder that is always available, anytime, anyplace. Notes can be recorded, added to and with convenience and ease. It’s important to have the wiki nature which is respect because all can edit your wiki’s. Others can correct your mistakes too and still, it can be a powerful web page. It is accessible from any, and all computers, so information is always there and all editing can be revised and seen throughout the wiki’s life.
I will do all my notes, assignments, and reflective diaries on wiki because of it’s revolutionary way for communication. I will be able to follow my class, knowing who’s participating and how the status of my class as a whole is. Through my reflective diaries, I will be able to tell if my class is understand clearly and if not or if an individual is stressed. I would learn my students in a clearer way. Wikis help open the door to affective learning because it’s much more collaborative and empowering. Students will be able to add to notes that become their own and participating in assignments and much, much more.
This magical source of feed back will not be demanded on my student’s. I believe a very valuable change is being created through this wonderful technology. The old way of education is simply lectures and each individual takes their own notes, then graded on what the student understood and didn’t. I will simply ask the students to add to my notes already prepared on wiki and allow them to fill in, what they deem important. Then, when test time, I will hand them their notes, for open book test. Education is best attained through inspiration and control simply doesn’t work. I will inspire my students and learn with them.

The Merkabah

The Merkabah is pictured on my blog and I would love to introduce to you the meaning. Mer = Rotating fields of light, Ka = Spirit and Bah = Body. The top pyramid is masculine and spins the speed of light clockwise. The bottom pyramid is feminine and spins the speed of light, counter clock wise. The pyramid in the middle is an interlocked pyramid and does not spin. In balance of love, and removal of fear brings the Merkabah in full correct spin and when open, the energy field created is approximately 55 ft. outside the human physical body, your energy field. The only way is one; one love.

My Philosophy for Education

I am on a path towards education as my career and one word describes it, determined. What drives me down that path is my passion to bring about new educational institutions. A new way for the upcoming generation filled with magic, consciousness, and quantum science.
I believe that a school where groups are held daily to work on our personal, spiritual, and educational lives with a strong awareness of the different stages of human development. It is important to continually practice projects of mind over matter for not only the students, but as well as the entirety of the school; including the staff. With this knowledge, Like minds + working together as one = Results. Homework will be done at school where the staff and students help other students. My passion is for a positive world, where we all connect as one.
My goal is to inspire the children of future America. I will give them the happiness and belief to spring forward with the confidence in their passion; what they believe about, they bring about. There is a spiritual awareness happening because of the belief they are learning in themselves, without ever the mention of religion. Open mindedness is a part of our school policy and to walk every minute of life in inspiration, inspiring others, which will in turn inspire yourself.
A child's education is the foundation to their entire life. I believe that their is nothing that is more crucial then for them to learn of human connection in the most positive way possible, through unconditional love and divine inspiration. This will set the threshold for their future. I look forward to my future in education, and our world that our children have created.

Right here in Prescott, AZ, we are honored to have a Waldorf education based school, Mountain Oak. I believe in this type of school system with all of my heart. In a recent salon that I owned, I raised money for this school because of the way I feel about it.
Here is a link that will take you to the website that provides information about the type of school that they are.  It is not directed to their homepage but, it is directed to future teachers of Waldorf schools which is spread throughout the world. Please check out the whole website

Unfortunately, we do not live in a positive world. Alot of things need to change. It is so bad that some schools do not look at students as an individual, but like a number. Things need to change so here is a website that talks about how we can change the way it is now to better the future for our children.
